Office of the Commissioner, Labour and Employment, Regional Employment Exchange, and Model Career Centre, Government of Goa, organized a significant youth-oriented event titled "Swayampurna Yuva".

The Office of the Commissioner, Labour and Employment, Regional Employment Exchange, and Model Career Centre, Government of Goa, organized a significant youth-oriented event titled "Swayampurna Yuva" on October 27, 2021, at DM's College Complex, Mapusa, and on October 30, 2021, at GVM's College Complex, Ponda, Goa. The initiative was a part of Goa's broader mission to uplift the youth through career guidance, skill development, and employment opportunities, aligning with the Swayampurna Goa initiative.

This youth festival brought together over 30 Government and Semi-Government departments and banks, as well as 70 private sector establishments. Esteemed employers such as Micro Lab, Online Productivity Services, Planet Hollywood Beach Resort, Sai Service, Colorcon Asia Private Limited, Goa Marriott Resorts and Spa, Taj, IT Fortune Miramar, MRF, Nestle, CMM, and Lupin participated in the employment fair. The event saw a remarkable turnout of around 8,400 youth who registered in hopes of finding employment and advancing their careers.

A key feature of the event was the series of talks delivered by eminent speakers from various industries — covering opportunities in hospitality, banking, IT, agriculture, event management, automobiles, logistics, healthcare, sales, marketing and pharmaceuticals.

The employment fair proved fruitful, with over 1,500 vacancies advertised. Approximately 700 eligible candidates were shortlisted, and 40 individuals received final offer letters from prestigious employers.
