Hon’ble Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant decided to celebrate his birthday as a Swayampurna Mitra in Saligao to mark ‘Seva, Sushasan and Jan Kalyan’, and during his visit he interacted and addressed the issues raised by Saligao residents.

Applauding the role played by government officers and employees in implementing the Swayampurna Goa programme, Hon’ble Chief Minister informed the people that the focus areas of Swayampurna Goa are being met. At the same time, he said that until and unless Goa’s villages become self-reliant, the state will not become self-reliant. Sawant was addressing village panchayat representatives, government officials and locals through the ‘Goa Ki Baat’.

As the Swayampurna Mitra of Saligao Village, the Hon’ble Chief Minister interacted with locals and addressed their grievances effectively and expeditiously. People urged to help them with various local issues like street lights, water connection, electricity issues, roads, crematorium, Primary Health Centre, etc. Each issue was personally addressed by the Hon’ble Chief Minister in capacity of Swayampurna Mitra of Saligao Village Panchayat.
